#3: Chula Exchange: Sawadeeka!

Getting used to the Bangkok life, the spicy foods (though I usually avoid them :p), the traffic jams, the hot weather...

It's been more than a month since I've been in Bangkok, it seems like time passes by fast, especially when you're enjoying yourself, traveling around etc. The mood to study is totally at it's minimal.

Pictures of my room and the apartment! :D

We took the 3 bedrooms apartment, it's like a 4 rooms HDB flat in Singapore, 3 bedrooms plus a living room. There's TV in each of our individual rooms and a HDTV in the living room! ^_^

Places that I've been to so far,
  1. Attutaya
  2. Awphawa Floating Market
  3. Kanachanaburi
  4. The Grand Palace
  5. Alot of temples
Shall focus on Kanachanaburi, since it's the latest and hence, most fresh memory :p It takes a few hours to get there by the minivan, from Victory Monument BTS. It was nice that when we arrived at Kanachanaburi station, we got picked up by a driver from the VN Guesthouse. :) Pretty cheap and decent accommodation for a day or two, think I paid about ten dollars or so for 2 nights? Sharing with 2 other girls in the room though it was meant for only two. :P

We rented motorbikes to travel around for the 2nd day. Vroom vroom!

Us with the motorbikes!

The Death Railway
We visited the museum for the death railway too. Learnt about how it came about, pretty sad story. Lots of lives were lost in building this particular railway, hence the term 'death railway' came about.

Group shot on the railway tracks :)

Super hugeeeeee BUDDHA!
I love the waterfalls in Kanachanaburi, we went to the Erawan National Park the third day, there are a total of 7 waterfalls. Beautiful! The only thing I regretted was wearing slippers, there was a slight rain and I slipped a couple of times, even had my slippers stuck in the mud. ;(

Okay... Now I have to drag myself to study, midterms are almost here. :(
I just need to get a pass for all the courses! ^_^ Which is awesome!

Till I update again!

Sawadeekaa!
