#1 Chula Exchange: Acceptance of Offer

This came in my email inbox last week.

I'm going Chulalongkorn University in Thailand! Haha, was in a dilemma pondering whether or not to accept the offer. Eventually I did! Well, below are the reasons that propelled me into accepting the offer.

1. I talked to Stef.
Best time of her life? Wow, I am amazed haha. She went on to share with me her experiences and that the people in Thailand are actually very nice and that it is actually quite safe (contrary to what I thought) and the hospitals in Bangkok are of good standards, not cui (lousy) ones.

2. Went to googled Chulalongkorn University, well, it is the OLDEST University of Thailand and it is actually the top University for some time.

3. My friends brainwashed me hahaha. Telling me how cheap it is and I would not regret. Aside from that, I have friends that went Bangkok before for exchange or internship and they were telling me how they loved the place. Haha, well I haven't been there myself personally before, I guess it would a refreshing and exciting experience for me.

Well, so after much consideration, I accepted the offer. Surprisingly, on the day itself, Chula emailed all the exchange students, saying that they are in the midst of finding a Thai buddy for everyone and they even provided us with the whole list of exchange students going Chula from all over the world! Hahaha. How nice! :D Then someone from NTU added me on Facebook by searching my name and she is going Chula too. Hahaha.

Kind of having mixed feelings about going, I'm sure gonna miss everyone here, but I want to get out of Singapore at the same time. What an irony haha.

Aiyah, but anyway, flights to Bangkok are cheap! You all can come and visit me right! :D Then can see me wear school uniform. HAHA, yes it is compulsory for the students in the Universities in Thailand to wear school uniforms if I'm not wrong.

Gonna update more about my exchange experience :) So this is the first of many to come! Most likely I'll be flying over in August if all is well!

Did up the online exchange application by Chulalongkorn, but darn, I haven't map my courses yet! Hahaha.

Shall end off with a video about Chulalongkorn! :)

The Journey of Thoughts

Took the train today from one end to the other end. Have you ever had long train rides home? Sometimes, I like long train or bus rides home (if only I got a seat :p).

It is through those long journeys home that you take a step back and start to ponder about life, observing people, having deep thoughts about stuffs, reading a book etc, during which you might get some inspiration. I don't know why, but I tend to think ALOT, especially when I'm alone and all. Of course, sometimes, I'm dead tired till I dropped dead in the train and fell asleep haha. But there are times like today, despite the 1 hour train journey back home, I couldn't fall asleep :'(

So, what do you do on long journeys home?

This was what I figured I will look like if I'm a Domo. Hahaha.

Hanging On

Bonjour! I'm back after more than a 2 weeks long hiatus. :p Been pretty busy with school work haha. And now exams are round the corner. :[

Hehe, but thankfully I only have one paper! :) Last term was a really crazy one, with like 5 papers. Guess I'm pretty bad at planning my modules hahaha. >_<

Well, been feeling depressed over the past few days because of exchange application. ;[

Guess this is what I looked like when I'm crying. Ugly like shit. :[ Haha. This time round, too many many many zillions people applying for exchange already, I didn't get the university I wanted. Sigh,  if only I've gotten a university in Korea, can go there sightsee too!

Exams are round the corner, for many the stress level is reaching an ultimate high I suppose? I wish students have something to destress themselves, like the video below!

Damn cool right! Why don't we have such machines in the arcade in Singapore?
Please please please bring it hereeeee!

Can't wait for this term to be over seriously. Hope to have a fruitful summer. And yes! I'm going for Lady Gaga and Jayesslee's concerts! :D YIPPEE!

Anyone interested in Jayesslee Meet and Greet plus Cat 4 (2nd/3rd row) concert tix on 4th May? My brother is selling one tix. Pm me! :D

Heard from my brother that the Jayesslee's Meet and Greet tickets were sold in mere minutes! That's crazy! I'm going for the CAT 2 seat. :)

Summer To-Do List:
  1. Learn ice-skating (Boohoo I can't even rollerblade! :( )
  2. Work! Earn some extra money hahaha.
  3. Lady Gaga's concert on 28th May
  4. Jayesslee's concert on 5th May
  5. Revive my Kindle and start reading books!
  6. Hang out with my family and friends more often, sorry to neglect you all cos of school. :(
  7. Find something I really really like to do or a new interest hopefully, sigh.
Hahaha alright, the list can go on and on like forever. :x

A glimpse of the ice-skating rink at Jcube below! Looks awesome right! Aiyo, but I feel paiseh if I go learn, sure fall down like mad and people from all levels will be looking at me! Hahaha.

Hmm, every time I stared at the ice-skating rink, I can't help but wonder what will happen if the someone falls down and the sharp blade slices through someone? :( Haha it was because of a movie that I've watched, "Blades of Glory" last time, in which there is a scene about the blade or something hahaha. Other than that, the movie is quite funny, a comedy! :D

And YAY I have Instagram nowwwwww!!! Follow me @nghuilian! Some shots below were taken by Instagram :)

A new breed of police motorcycles spotted at Plaza Sing! I found it rather amusing and peculiar haha.

Meetup with my besties! :) :) Ate at Tomy Roma at Suntec City.

Tomy Roma
3 Temasek Boulevard #B1-007
Suntec City Mall
Singapore 038983
Tel: (65) 6337 9055

Ordered the Roma's feast which costs $62 bucks. :| The price is a little steep. Would prefer the King Louis Grill at Vivo City, the price is so much worth it. :)

Anyway, went to Ice Stone Creamery at Citi-link there to have ice-cream! Since we're still not full from the dinner :p

WAHAHA, this gotta be the LARGEST bucket of ice-cream I have ever eaten in my life! Strangely enough, when we are ordering and was asked by the staff what size we want, we said 'OURS'. 'OURS' meant the largest bucket on their menu! HAHAHA. Sinfully happy! Hehe.

And at first I thought we can't finish it but we did! Kudos to the three of us! YAY!
Oh ya, the staff at Ice Stone Creamery are damn cool! They will ask whether you want to catch your ice-cream, YES, CATCH! Got one customer failed to catch it and the ice-cream went PLOP on the floor, ohmygosh! Hahaha. We were so scared that the ice-cream is gonna hit us or something cos we sat at the first row. T.T What a fun working environment to be in, they even sang to the tune of Flintstone!

After the ice-cream, went to Tawandang at Suntec. I never thought I would ever step into the place, if not for them! But yeah, it was good! Too bad we didn't go on a Monday, got 30% off something (think it's beer), if you went up to the stage and sing a song! HAHA. :p

And yay! Because of the Thai Festival, Tawandang got a promotion! 1 for 1 beer! We ordered 0.5 liters and they gave us a tower! Haha I'm quite amazed by the tower cos it's my first time! Sorry lah, mountain tortoise. :(

Wow, I must say, the beer tastes good! We ordered the Lager Beer. To me, I usually don't like drinking beer cos of the bitter aftertaste and all. But this, so different! The best beer I have tasted? :p Haha I don't drink on a usual basis. But because of these awesome peeps below!

Raise our beer glasses!
*clink clink clink*

CHEERS TO A DECADE OF FRIENDSHIP. LOVES.
DARN, at that instance we realized we are getting old!

Another good food place to chill is 15 minutes! Thanks for bringing me there :) The portion is indeed hugeeeeee!

Okay, ending off the post with some random retarded pictures of me from photobooth. Hahaha, posing with the bear ;)
