Lunch Date at Pique Nique

Had always wanted to try out Pique Nique at Jcube, finally did it! :D I think they're famous for their All-Day Breakfast right? Next time, I shall try their cakes or something, looked so yummy!

Classic Benedict at $12 before GST/Service charge. 

 I like the Classic Benedict, it consisted of simple items like Hams, Eggs, Bread and Salad. However, I felt that the cream is a little sour, but still it's acceptable. ;)

Norwegian Benedict at $14 before GST/Service charge

 My friend ordered the Norwegian Benedict, only difference was the Smoked Salmon. Apparently, I didn't order that at first cos I thought it would be super salty, but my friend said it's not. :/

Happy 21st Birthday Brudder!

Finally, my brother turned 21! It's a small birthday celebration with family and some relatives, as he is too lazy to throw any birthday parties or whatsoever. Yummy yogurt cake from Four Leaves IMM, well my brother is obsessed with eating healthily at the moment, wants to gain muscles and lose fats. 

Had a job interview today, hope things went well. Took some flu medicine before going out, so was feeling damn drowsy on the way to the interview. T.T Probably a bad choice haha. 

Even Siri suggests that I take a nap. Good that it can read my accent! :p

Why YouTube Freezes At 301 Views Explained!

I have always pondered why some YouTube videos got their views stuck at the magic number 301, but I didn't really bother to find out why, until a friend she showed me a link to this video.

They should have put >300 instead of >=300. Haha, then would have a more round number 300 instead of 301. I thought that the number meant something magical or something for YouTube, but it's just the way the programmer codes it during the early days.

Time Goes By So Slowly

Had a class at noon, which ended at around 3pm. :/ The class was pretty fun, about negotiation. The in-class activities were fun too. :O The tedious part would be the project I suppose, as we need to interview 3 reputable person who are good negotiators. Hmm.

Killing t.i.m.e. since after my class ended at 3pm, I have a night class at 7pm later, till 10.15pm. Oh well, I wished my night class would start at an earlier time slot, 3.30pm. Having too long of a break time can be counter-productive I feel. I would rather trade them for 6 hours back to back classes, then I could go home to have some dinner and rest for the night early. :P

Prawn Aglio set from Tea Party at SMU! It only costs $4.50 for a pasta and iced tea set! How cheap right! And for that price, I think it's super worth it. The taste is good too, considering the price. ;) But sometimes got long queue :(

One thing to note, always remember not to smile too wide after eating, 

go to the toilet to check it in the mirror first. :P

Hello 2013!

Countdown to the new year in town area. It was madness, the crowd. 

Went to the Asian Civilisation Museum and got our 'glitter tattoos'. And they even had this photobooth thing where they will print out the photos instantly on the spot for you, in the form of credit card size for you to keep it in the wallet. Best of all, it's free! :D Since when museum became so HIP! Got their own countdown event and performances. But we didn't linger for long, the outside concert performances were crowded.

Recorded the fireworks! Stood there waiting for nearly an hour just for the fireworks. :( 

Oh well, guess no more next time, too lazy to do this in the future.

Yay, I won a pair of movie tickets to watch Cloud Atlas on 15th Jan, it's only officially out here in Singapore on the 17th though. But so sad, the timing is kinda late. By the time the movie (170 minutes) ends, I'll have no transport back home. Taking a cab would be more expensive than the tickets themselves, not really worth it. So had to give it away to one of my friends. :(

On a random note, school has started a week already for me. It's going to be my final semester. :,( Somehow, I think I'm going to miss school life. Definitely not for the exams/projects, but for the awesome friendship made throughout the 4 years. And to think that we're all going to go our separate ways after graduation makes me sad. 

Met up with Rebecca today for lunch. 

Decided to try some restaurant called The Pizza Place in at City Hall area.

 Ordered the above for $9.80. It isn't that nice I feel. It tasted too pepper-ish. :/ Maybe since it's called The Pizza Place then I should order a pizza right. Hahaha.

 Well, my friend she ordered some pizza for around $10 to $11. Definitely tasted better than mine :(

 Oh well, maybe I'll go back again to try other stuffs. ^_^ The thing I like about this restaurant is that there is no service charge/gst! What you see is what you get. Yay for poor students like me. :)

UU Beancurd at Jurong East station

Bought the original beancurd ($1.50) while waiting for the bus to arrive. Had to say it tasted like the famous Lao Ban beancurd, very pudding kind. Good, now I can have beancurd that tasted like Lao Ban near my house. :D

Before I forget, today is 1314 = 一生一世! Nice date to get married hahaha! 

Christmas Tree Hunting

A meetup with the girls since I came back from Bangkok in few weeks back. Being girls, we went shopping in Orchard. Well, it's been a long time since I stepped foot in Orchard. I didn't really bought any stuffs cos none caught my eye. Or maybe it's because I'm a little sick of shopping, and I kept comparing the prices here to Bangkok. :P Perhaps once a while, should have a shopping spree to Bangkok hahaha. And then, no more shopping for that year. ;)

Settled our dinner at Orchard Central's Lao Beijing restaurant. Had buffet for dinner cos I'm very hungry. Another excuse was that I missed Xiao Long Baos, didn't get to eat them in Bangkok :x
But still, in my opinion, their XLBs were alright, I still like the ones in Din Tai Feng's. Too bad they don't have the XLB buffet option ;(

And yay, cos we have 4 person, we have the popiah free. Only one serving per person, but you have the option to wrap it yourself! Using the ingredients that they provide you. Quite fun actually haha, even though I'm not a huge fan of popiah. :)

After the extremely bloated buffet dinner, we actually sat for nearly 3 hours I think, till the restaurant was about to close, we went for some 'Christmas Tree Hunting'! We took pictures with almost all the X'mas Trees that we saw while strolling down Orchard Road. I had no idea why, maybe trying to get into the festive mood. It's actually fun, feeling all touristy haha. :P

Have you fulfil your 2012 resolutions yet? There's still a few days left!

I'm not someone with a habit of pinning down new year resolutions, one for fear that I'm afraid of being bagged down my disappointments in the event that (what if) I didn't manage to complete them all or most of them? I'll feel like a sore loser, hahaha. Oh well, maybe it's time to think of at least some? :/ At least give me the motivation in life which I am still trying to find. It's like I always have this whole in my heart which I'm dying to fill and figure out what it is. Gosh, certainly sounds like I'm suffering from an extremely early mid-life crisis, how upsetting :(

OH, how I missed Bangkok now that I'm back. :,(

Missed waking up to friends, everything. 

Well, guessed it marked an meaningful and fun chapter in my life. :)
