How to Disable Ads in Kindle Outside of US (No Hacks)

Thought I would share my experience to all.

Recently, I bought a new Kindle Paperwhite Ads version, YAY!

If I didn't understand wrongly, the ads only works in the US and since I'm staying in Singapore, there is really no point for the ads right. Even if it's non-intrusive while reading but still >.< I just hate the sight of it appearing on the screensaver.

Below are the steps to get your ads version of the Kindle to be ADS FREE!

Less than 5 mins of your time, easy peasy!

1. Login to your Amazon account and make sure your Kindle is registered to your account.

2. Go to the Contact Us page in Amazon.

3. For section 3, click the CHAT option and a popup live chat will appear.

4.  See my chat history for details!

Super duper elated that my Kindle is now officially ADS FREE! And best of all, no hacks are needed!

Feel free to comment and share if you have any other methods to do so! :)

Peperoni Pizza

Been a while since I last stepped foot into Suntec City, as the mall was undergoing renovation. Was wandering around for a dinner place after work and found this pizza place! It's at the fountain area, when the restaurants are all around the circle.

Address: 3 Temasek Boulevard #B1-130

The pizza place is called, Peperoni Pizza. Had no idea why though haha. But nice ambience and I liked the interior of the restaurant ;)

That's the menu if you're wondering :P
"All we knead is LOVE"
Are you?

Our yummylicious pizza! :) We ordered the medium size to share for 2 pax, about $24. And yes, you can customise it, ours was half-seafood, the other I can't remember :x

And the best thing of all,

when we called for the bill...

We realised there's no GST or service charge! YAY! :)

Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant

Had relatives' lunch gathering at the restaurant on Sunday. What a major TOTAL disappointment for every one of us, twelve of us to be exact. Our virgin time there proved to be our final time too.

We should have heed the ratings and reviews on HungryGoWhere.com. It is bad, utterly bad. With less than 50% positive ratings and reviews. We wanna play nice and gave them a chance to prove us wrong, in which they failed to do so.

The table which we sat at. Initial impression was that it was really cramped, especially at my side, which is faced against the wall. Should I need to use the washroom, at least four people have to move aside. Oh gawd. Why got such poor table layouts? >:(

The view from the room behind us. Not from our table definitely. We thought that despite the bad reviews online, we will just take it with a pinch of salt and perhaps enjoy the 'beautiful' scenery, or so that's what my aunt thought.

Okay, so their way of pouring the water into the cup with tea leaves already present was quite 'unique' in some sense hur? Haha. But my all relatives of my parents' generation were complaining about it. WHY? Because the water wasn't HOT at all. Which makes the tea less enjoyable and the aroma of the tea can hardly even be tasted. Gosh.

Okay, pictures of some dishes. Could not be bothered to take all the dishes, probably because I am suffering from one of the dishes, it was so awful I nearly died.
Okay, here are some my comments. Firstly, the xiaolongbao I felt was average only, I would prefer Din Tai Feng's version any time. The rest of the dishes were soso. Not that they're exceptionally good that I actually remembered. But the one at the bottom right, that one was the ultimate bad to my liking. It's supposed to be some sort of dish with fish. It was spicy, weird kind. Then I took a slice of the fish and ate it. While chewing, I chewed upon something, it was HORRIBLE. I had no idea what was that! It seemed like a chili seed but much much worse. It's like wasabi mixed with all sorts of things. So disgusting that I drank lots of water and only took one mouthful. :/
Sigh, the dirty tables and plates after countless dishes and no effort was made to change our plates.

:( :( :(

This is the first time I have experienced such bad service at a restaurant. I've sent them a feedback, well hope they will make some improvements. Click to read about it.

The End of School

Well well, done with my last exam just a week ago. I have unofficially graduated from SMU!
Okay, this basically sums up the feeling of what 'exams are over' means. And also traveling!
Everything felt so surreal. Suddenly, having 'nothing' to do for school. To think that a year ago, we were all busy chionging FYP.

As my room was a 'little' messy due to studying for exams and I had no time to properly organise my stuffs, decided to do so after exams :p

Also, cleared some forgotten old toys from my childhood from a hidden compartment. And ohmygosh, I really have tonnes of old stuffs hahahaha. Guess all the while I didn't bother to throw them away cos felt that it was a waste and that those stuffs somehow reminded us of our childhood, the toys that we used to play with. Since I have space at home, I'm just to lazy to throw them. Hahaha. Nostalgic!

But before I throw away some of the toys, decided to snap some pictures :D For memory sake and also to show the future generations these are the toys that we 90s kids have played with, not just some iPad games >_<

Okay, this is the Pokemon Centre, there's supposed to be some small figurines but not sure where is it already. :x I used to be a fan of Pokemon, hahaha. I swear at that tender age, I could remember the first breed of Pokemon, 152 of them! After a while, more and more monsters were added and I couldn't bothered. :p

Polly Pocket! My first ever 'house' that I've gotten. Kept it for so many years because it's from my Dad when I was in the hospital. Memoriessss. He bought it to cheer me up I guess. :,(

Okay, these two are the big toys hahaha. I used to have a train kit, where you can build the tracks and the train will run on them through batteries. And I used to have lots of small cars too. So boyish of me. But those were threw/given away long time ago!

The rest of them aren't exactly toys but games. Hahaha, I realised that I'm a huge fan of board games or whatever in the past. I have alot of them because last time, I would have many relatives visiting my Grandma and she had lots of great grandkids! Ever since she left us, they don't visit anymore. :/ Prolly cos my Dad is considered the youngest in the family tree, oh well.

Next, believe it or not, I actually have some word games :p
Didn't really play the word games often haha. Some were actually gifts. I think I just really like to collect games when I was young. Don't judge! Last time no iPad games okay! >:(

Truth or Dare? Jenga style! In the end, I will just end up playing it as the UNO Stacko instead. :p

Some UNO card game? I know they have alot of variations right. I think for this, there's a button in the middle (the UNO button), which will keep beeping or something. Like you have no idea when is it gonna explode? Hahaha. If I didn't remember wrongly, every time you finished your turn, you're supposed to slam the button. LOL, if it explodes then you gotta draw more cards? Can't really recall the rules, been ages ago. Think the game is called UNO Slam. :O
Oh dear, such a fan of Board Games. ヅヅ Missed those times where my 4th Aunt would usually drop by my house and we would play together. Maybe I might keep/give away some, in case should some kids come over next time. But the thing is, since young, I usually hate it if people touches my stuffs or the tiny pieces of the board game go missing if I let someone play with it. >_<""

Errmmmmm. My cooking set? Hahaha. So cute right. Got hamburgers, patty, cheese, wok, hotdogs etc.
I used to imagine how great a cook I am, but too bad that's not the case now. :P

My figurines hahaha. Didn't know I still had it stuffed away in a tied up bag. It's like discovering some old hidden treasures of your old self. How I love Pokemon in the past. :x

A Jay Chou fanatic since young. :x I remembered vividly I used to pre-order his upcoming albums, as I would get free freebies! Such as posters/calendars etc. Then, upon the 1st day or so of the release, I would rushed down to the cd store which I pre-ordered from to collect it and I would so elated. Oh gosh, those cd days. :,)

My Hello Kitties! These were from the MacDonald's Hello Kitty Craze many years back. I'm not a fan of Hello Kitty. But I remembered my neighbours/relatives went to actually queue and shun bian got one for me too. Hahaha. Those were the days where people were much kinder and help one another.

The last picture of the day! Coloured sticks! We used to play this when we were young in the 90s. ;)

Memoriessssss. Back then when we were so young and carefree~
So, what are some of your childhood hobbies? :)

Phantom of the Opera is Back Again!

Yes, Phantom of the Opera musical is back in Singapore again! :)

I went it to see it in 2007 when they came, it was awesome! It was at Esplanade the previous time, and I was sitting in the front rows directly in front of the stage! :D Now, they changed the location to Marina Bay Sands, hopefully it's better haha.

Pondering whether to watch again now that it's back haha. Or perhaps I should save my $$ and wait for other awesome musicals to watch. Hmmm.

Ticket Price (excluding booking fee)
S$55, $95, $125, $145, $165, $230 - VIP (includes drink and program)

Anyway, for Mastercard holders, great news for you peeps! (Book before 3rd April)
There is 15% discount of the ticket price! Super worth it!

Okay, shall give it some thought over the weekends! :x

Hello 2013!

Countdown to the new year in town area. It was madness, the crowd.

Went to the Asian Civilisation Museum and got our 'glitter tattoos'. And they even had this photobooth thing where they will print out the photos instantly on the spot for you, in the form of credit card size for you to keep it in the wallet. Best of all, it's free! :D Since when museum became so HIP! Got their own countdown event and performances. But we didn't linger for long, the outside concert performances were crowded.

Recorded the fireworks! Stood there waiting for nearly an hour just for the fireworks. :(
Oh well, guess no more next time, too lazy to do this in the future.

Yay, I won a pair of movie tickets to watch Cloud Atlas on 15th Jan, it's only officially out here in Singapore on the 17th though. But so sad, the timing is kinda late. By the time the movie (170 minutes) ends, I'll have no transport back home. Taking a cab would be more expensive than the tickets themselves, not really worth it. So had to give it away to one of my friends. :(

On a random note, school has started a week already for me. It's going to be my final semester. :,( Somehow, I think I'm going to miss school life. Definitely not for the exams/projects, but for the awesome friendship made throughout the 4 years. And to think that we're all going to go our separate ways after graduation makes me sad.

Met up with Rebecca today for lunch.
Decided to try some restaurant called The Pizza Place in at City Hall area.
Like their logo though, think it's cute!

252 North Bridge Road  #B1-16, Raffles City Shopping Centre, Singapore 179103

Carbonara with Bacon
Ordered the above for $9.80. It isn't that nice I feel. It tasted too pepper-ish. :/ Maybe since it's called The Pizza Place then I should order a pizza right. Hahaha.

6 Inch Pizza
Well, my friend she ordered some pizza for around $10 to $11. Definitely tasted better than mine :(

Oh well, maybe I'll go back again to try other stuffs. ^_^ The thing I like about this restaurant is that there is no service charge/gst! What you see is what you get. Yay for poor students like me. :)

UU Beancurd at Jurong East station
Bought the original beancurd ($1.50) while waiting for the bus to arrive. Had to say it tasted like the famous Lao Ban beancurd, very pudding kind. Good, now I can have beancurd that tasted like Lao Ban near my house. :D

Before I forget, today is 1314 = 一生一世! Nice date to get married hahaha!
