Potato Depot @ Raffles City Shopping Centre Basement

Randomly chanced upon this food place haha. Cos I wasn't very hungry on that day I guess and the word "Potato" attracted me hahaha!

And wow, they got many different types of Baked Potatoes! *drools* I think I ordered the Turkey Ham set meal, plus a drink, soup and salad. Quite worth it I suppose.

And Yummyyyyyyy! :D Loves loves! HAHA. Looks yummyyyyy right. I thought it will be like those puny small potatoes that we see everyday in the supermarkets, but the size is quite big. ^_^ SHIOK!

At such a ulu place :S I wouldn't even think of going into the shopping centre and it's on level four, who would go and notice right? :/ If not for the coupon deal, I don't think I will know of its existence. :(

 But then, it's a nice place to chill, provided it doesn't rain. Haha cos it's at the rooftop, nice place to chillax, have a beer or two and HTHT. Hahaha.

Lady Gaga's Concert 2012!

YAY! Tickets to the Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball on 29th May! :D

Kudos to my best friend who went down to Sistic to queue before it starts at 10am for fear of Internet jam if we were to book online haha. So glad we were able to get our hands on one! It was sold out in the blink of an eye when they released for AMEX cardholders last week.

TGIF!

Was like this sick teddy past few days back. ;[ Took a day off sleeping at home haha! The school's doctor was really motherly! She said she will give me MC for the next day so I better take that day to sleep at home hahaha. Oh well, I guess she knows that I haven't been sleeping much (urgh those eye bags and dark eye circles!).

Yay, TGIF! But I still have a class on Friday. Darn, hahaha. Feels so lazy on a Friday especially. :/ Lazy to blog a long post or to upload pictures. Whoops! Maybe I will do it over the weekends! :D

Little Miss Busy

Just a short short post, will update after my midterms next week.

Happy Birthdays at Baskin Robbins

Met up with JC mates at Clementi for dinner and also to celebrate Kah Xian's and Yiak Hung's birthdays, since the dates are so close! Ate zi char at some coffeeshop nearby, in which I requested for extra half bowl of additional rice! :S Cos didn't really eat the whole day mah, except for one miserable sandwich.

After the dinner, headed over to Clementi mall in hunt for some desserts! Hehe, I was actually quite excitedly happy as I am not really full yet :P Anyway, no matter what right, like what others always say, there is always room for dessert! :D

Randomly, we saw Baskin Robbins and decided to have some ice-cream.

For our side, our cup consisted of 3 flavors. Light cappuccino chip, Black forest and not to forget, the Struck by Cupid flavor. Haha, what an interesting name. Somehow, the Struck by Cupid flavor tested nice when we sampled it, but not as nice when we ordered it. Don't know why :( Probably got mixed with the other 2 flavors, which tasted nice! But my favorite thing is the M&M's!

Confused Cook? / Senki

Went to Confused Cook? at Arab Street for dinner last weekend. Haha, didn't hear about this place before and I don't think I've been to Arab Street before! :P Yes, I know right, like a mountain tortoise. >_< And cos the voucher that we had was gonna expire in like one or two weeks' time, might as well utilize it now or never! :x The irony was, we had to make a reservation beforehand using the voucher as it was stated but we didn't know hahaha. Anyway, they let us in as there was still vacant seats available. Aiyah, at most if it's a hard rule, then can pretend to go outside (probably ten metres away!) and call them to make reservation. *grins*

HAHA. Like the last photo, the rosti! Cos it's made up of POTATOES. :P My potato fetish in recent months. GAH, I wonder whyyyyyyyy! Why now! HAHA. Anyway, the pasta isn't to my liking at all. :( Felt like I have been eating ketchup sauce the entire time which made me felt like puking a little hahaha. Can't really taste the other ingredients like the beef or shrooms either, the ketchup is a little too much and too overpowering. But still, it's quite filling though haha. Price range it's quite affordable I guess, about slightly above $40 for the 3 dishes. We paid only a few bucks HAHA, cos got $40 voucher mah! :D #likeacheapthrill

Sudden craving for sashimi! Hahaha, pampered ourselves to buffet at Senki. It's an ala carte buffet style, not bad! Can order whatever you want, no need to fight with others over the food, like the conveyor belt style, always have to strain your neck and keep your eyes peeled for any sudden good sushi plates haha!

Obsession with Mashed Potatoes

SHUCKS. I wonder what's with me and POTATOES nowadays. Seems like I have gotten a weird fetish for potatoes. -_- Wonder if it's normal. Hahaha. Well, perhaps cos mashed potatoes are more of like a compliment side dish in any meal. And to be honest, I don't mind eating mashed potatoes compared to rice for dinner :P On a side note, it's easy to eat, won't spill or anything like soup etc, and potato does make me full enough as it's all carbohydrates. 

Okay, I have always wanted to make my very own mashed potatoes! Heard from my aunt that it's pretty simple, just need to peel and then boil the potato and that's pretty much it! :S

Shall do it if I have time okay :D I hope my mashed potato will magically transform into the dream image below hahaha.

Looks yummy right! Hehehe. I can't resist but googled for the recipe. :x

Ingredients: 

1. 6 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
2. 1/2 cup warm milk
3. 1/4 cup butter or margarine
4. 3/4 teaspoon salt
5. Dash pepper

Directions

Place potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water. Cover and bring to a boil; cook for 20-25 minutes or until very tender. Drain well. Add milk, butter, salt and pepper; mash until light and fluffy.

And it's ready-to-eat within 35 minutes! Shall give it a try soon, haha!

In the meantime, I shall make do with the Instant Mashed Potatoes! :D Just add boiling water and 1 minute ta-da it's done! Not bad, my first time making an Instant Mashed Potato, never hear before hahaha till someone told me about it. T.T

Apparently, it's a product of Singapore! Anyone saw it in like the supermarkets or something? Gonna hunt for it the next time I go grocery shopping with my mummy. :D

Hello February!

Whoohoo, went to Sushi Express @ Citylink Mall on Wednesday with classmates after lesson ended for lunch! $1.50 per plate was really cheap and reasonable! Not really a lot of variety, but oh well for the cheap price :S Guess we can't complain much :)
